If there is such a thing as a perfectly run grocery store, it would be Brookshires Springtown. The store is clean, well-stocked with quality throughout and extraordinary service- including pushing your cart to your vehicle. The selection is amazing, even a sushi bar! If there is any negative, it would be pricing a bit high, but excellence doesn't come free.
We wanted to pick up a few items for the road so we chose the local supermarket. From the outside it's like any other grocery store. Inside I was pleasantly surprised at all the local products which of course made it into our cart. The store was clean and well laid out. The prices were reasonable and their selection of products was great. The staff was friendly and courteous.

I shop at this Brookshire's often, and usually have a great experience each time. Today I unfortunately had a not so great experience while checking out. I purchased a Hallmark card, along with a couple other items, and was disappointed when the cashier, Michelle, crammed my card into the bag under all my other items. When I pulled the card out of the bag, it was damaged. This was a huge disappointment since it was the only undamaged card of its kind they had. My cashier had walked away, so I asked the girl next to her if I could go replace the card since it was now damaged. Upon my return, the cashier had moved the bag I left at the counter to a different location and I proceeded to get rude glares from all of the cashiers around me. I asked to speak to a manager, which I was then told, "they are all in a meeting and will be for a long time". Just then, a young blonde male manager (I wish I could remember his name) walked up and asked how he could help. I simply told him that in the future maybe they should not stuff cards into bags to the point of being damaged (especially since we pay between $6-$8 for a paper card) and that I now have to leave with a damaged card. I did not want to get anyone in trouble, I just didn't want it to happen to anyone else. He sincerely apologized, and said that their policy is to always put the card in a separate bag or ask if the customer would like to hold it. He was extremely nice and helpful, and even refunded me the price of the card. I have been working in the customer service industry for years, and am truly grateful when management is as good as this man was. Even though I got the same rude glares from the cashiers as I was walking out (which honestly doesn't make any sense. If you don't want someone to complain, then don't give them anything to complain about) I was truly happy with how management handled everything.
